268,762 Fans and Counting

My friend John Corcoran recently tagged me in a post on Facebook, talking about the release of my latest book, “Game Changer: How to get 10,000 new real fans in 72 hours and turn them into your next cash-paying customers (Without a marketing budget).”

He was helping to spread the word about my book launch, that he happens to be featured in. As always when discussing the controversial 10,000 Facebook Fans in 72 Hours strategy, the conversation was heated…

and just a few of the heated responses…

The thing is, you HAVE to see it to believe it… you grow Facebook Fans in only 72 hours for pennies a piece.

Here’s our fan growth since starting in July…

The Benefits Of Thousands of Fans

So why bother to get fans at all?

There are a lot of naysayers when it comes to growing fans. And usually it is said by those who don’t have any. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

Especially because the numbers speak for themselves. While there are hundreds of benefits, as 8,210 (and counting) people have gone through the 10,000 Fans program, there are four leading exceptional outcomes:

  1. Social Proof:

More fans mean more social proof that you have a legitimate business. Just think of restaurants and why they seat the first guests in the window. People are attracted to where other people are because it shows that they aren’t first to try something. It makes others believe in you, too.

If someone goes to your Facebook page and you only have 12 fans, you don’t seem like a legitimate business. For example, recently I was asked to be a guest on someone’s podcast. My first step was to check out their Facebook Page. When I went there, they had 8 fans. Yup, 8. So no-go on the podcast. If you want to be taken seriously as a business, you need to have fans on your page.

  1. Referrals:

Every time someone likes your page, it shows up to their friends and family. Naturally, your best customers come from word of mouth and this is the only way to speed word of mouth introductions along.

This screen shot shows the number of new fans I get each week through word of mouth, aka, for FREE!

  1. More Reach:

There are people right now just waiting to hear from you. There are pains you can heal, problems you can solve, joys you can create—but only if you can reach those who are waiting to hear from you right now. By expanding your network you can reach more people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Now, a legitimate fear is that your posts will never reach any of your fans. And I get that. There is a nasty rumor that organic reach is dead.

But that just isn’t true. Here’s a recent post that included no ad spend at all. It reached thousands of people for free. Can you tell me another media channel that will let you reach thousands each day for free?

In fact, here is how many people I can reach on a weekly basis for free with my Facebook Page now that I’ve grown my fan count:

  1. And finally, mo’ money:

Not only will your other Facebook ads cost less but you can make sales directly to your fans, and you will. We continue to make sales with our prospects even though we are bringing them in for less than 1 cent each. In fact, for every dollar we spend on Facebook Ads to get fans, we are getting $7.56 back.

  1. Great post……
    We like numbers also.
Facebook pages (2) only have about 11,000 LIKES (niche demographics)

But usually, 500-600 shares per post and Organic Reach is usually 65-80% of LIKES.
Purpose of posts is to direct to the website.

Thay is where we engage the best.
