I hope this day finds you well. I am writing to you from our suite at Disney.

Going to the Parks for Thanksgiving has been an annual tradition of ours since my girls were born. We love the Christmas decorations, the magic of the parks and the less-crowded-than-normal holidays vibe since this week is only a holiday in the US.

And there is something incredible about this year’s trip.

Evidence that the economy is not dead and people are not done spending…

Case in point–

We are Annual Pass Holders so we do not need to purchase tickets each time we go. And yet…going to the park each day costs significantly more than free.

You see…we opt-in for the “Magic Genie” and the “Lightning Lane” add-ons that allow us to skip the long lines and go directly (sort of) onto the rides at our assigned times.

Doing this costs more each day. In fact, if you want the ability to use this feature at more than one park a day, it is currently $35 per person. Plus, if you want to add additional premium rides it is another $10-$25 per ride each. And if you want to stay for the holiday party later in the evening, it is another $185 per person.

So even with my Annual Pass, we are still spending an additional $100-$300 per person, per day, on tickets.

And we are not alone.

The parks are full.

So do not let anyone tell you the economy is dead or people won’t spend money or that you can’t charge premium prices.

None of that is true.

But what is true is that you have to create demand with incredible marketing and attract a right-fit crowd that will pay the prices you charge.

Without that, none of this will work.

It's time to stop making excuses and start getting better marketing in place, positioning yourself as the celebrity of your niche to attract your perfect prospects who expect to pay a premium dollar for your services.
