I thought I’d start the year off by sharing a strategy we have found that works after testing different options that you can use in your own business.
You see, we kicked off the 10x Your Followers Challenge: Be Your Own Superhero Campaign in January.
And in the past, we’d ask people to sign up for the waiting list.
But after much testing, we found a waiting list didn’t help our overall numbers. In fact, many who signed up for the waiting list never signed up for the challenge.
So we tried something new…and it worked.
Instead of a waiting list, we created a “First Notification List” and there is an incentive to be one of the first 250 into the challenge with a giveaway only to the first few in.
And by changing out messaging and incentivizing participation, our opt in rate and response rate quadrupled.
Seriously.
Incentivizing your market and making your messaging all about what they want is the key to effective marketing.
And this first notification list is another example of it working.
Now it's time to strategize how you can use this strategy in your marketing.
